Mariama Diallo

Mariama Diallo is a Brooklyn-based writer and director. In 2022, her feature-length debut Master premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. The film, which stars Regina Hall and Zoe Renee, “follows three women struggling to make a place for themselves at an elite New England university almost as old as the country” in Diallo’s own words. In 2018, Diallo released the horror short Hair Wolf, in which the staff of a Black hair salon fends off the threat of a white woman who preys on Black culture.
