Kasi Lemmons

Kasi Lemmons is the director of the critically acclaimed and award-winning Southern Gothic film Eve's Bayou. Lemmons started her film career as an actress, appearing in projects as diverse as The Silence of Lambs, CB4, and Candyman before moving behind the camera. Her other films include Talk To Me, The Caveman’s Valentine, Harriet, her Academy Award-nominated biopic about Harriet Tubman, and the Whitney Houston biopic I Wanna Dance With Somebody, starring Naomi Ackie as the powerhouse, iconic singer.
