Jenn Nkiru is an artist and director. Her film Rebirth is Necessary was featured on NOWNESS. She is a graduate of the Howard University film program, whose esteemed alumni include Arthur Jafa, Bradford Young, and Malik Sayeed. Her follow-up film, BLACK TO TECHNO, explores the birth of the techno genre in the Black Detroit music scene. Nkiru was also part of the 2019 Whitney Biennial.
